“Across the Border”

Synopsis:
The first time Judy and Pedro saw each other was in Roseburg, Oregon, where Pedro was being apprehended by INS agents. This story recounts the struggles of one American couple that stood up against the U.S. immigration Department in order to later be reunited. The documentary outlines Judy and Pedro’s struggles of the early 1970s and the odds they overcame to marry and live together in the “Land of the Free.”

La primera vez que Judy vió a Pedro fue en Roseburg, Oregón, cuando Pedro estaba siendo arrestado por la policía de migraciones de los Estados Unidos. Esta historia relata la lucha de una pareja Americana que se enfrentó al Departamento de Inmigración de los Estados Unidos para poder reunirse. El documental relata las luchas de Judy y Pedro desde los principios de los años ‘70s y la manera en que superaron los retos para casarse y vivir juntos en la “tierra de la libertad.”
