This is the story of Kristen De La Rosa
Kristen De La Rosa is a student and cafe employee living in Eugene, OR. She was born in San Jose, California and later moved with her family to Folsom, a suburb of Sacramento. Once there she became far more acutely aware of her Chicano background due to the lack of diversity in suburban Sacramento as opposed to San Jose. Along the way she learned about her family’s history of entrepreneurship and resourcefulness. This resourcefulness would help her to build her own life and family in Eugene, Oregon.
